The designed building is located in Bremen, Germany, in the Neustadt district at Pappelstraße.
The main idea and motto of the project is "Biophilia". The concept of biophilia itself refers to the love of life and all living, natural systems, while the biophilic style is a direction in interior design and architecture that aims to create spaces that inspire contact with nature and integrate elements with the natural environment surrounding us. The name comes from the Greek words "bios" (life) and "philia" (love), which means love for life and nature.
The project assumes the creation of a green space available to residents in the form of a green roof and a courtyard. The greenery in front of the building was designed to create alleys that are a harmonious combination of rounded, convex shapes resembling hills.
In order to increase the attractiveness of the project, the existing square was significantly widened, covering the space up to the surrounding buildings. This modification created a dynamic, active space that encourage people to spend more time outdoors. Additionally, by extending the square to the road area, safety has been increased as vehicles are forced to reduce their speed when entering the square.
